hi all,

i've got this 312-1AE14-0AB0 CPU Which when Power-up, the SF red lamp turns on and the amber LED (STOP) keeps on flashing. tried to reset the system via its MRES switch but no avail. Could not therefore establish communication via pc. anybody help please.

Hi Cris,

Yes there is a memory card in the PLC and if I removed it, the red light SF turns off. I am using MPI for communication and using Step7 pro v13 under TIA portal. The memory card 64kb and 128kb available.

Yes, I can established communication without the memory card. Definitely there is a program inside the memory card from the previous software and how can I erase the existing program stored in the MMC. If only I can establish communication with the MMC installed so that it can be replace with the new program.

Hi Chris,

I tried the procedure under the link you provided and happened to recover 2MMC and the other 2MMC were hopeless. Perhaps it needs a USB Prommer since I have the V3.3 CPU. 

Perhaps, the 2MMC are defective, or maybe it needs to be reset outside the CPU, am not sure since I don,t have the USB Prommer.
