Completly new to the S7-1200, have done some programming with other simpler plc´s before but now i decided to go with siemens when it seems like a powerful choice. However, it´s not easy, and im definently not an expert :S Have been reading the maual trying to figure this one out, and i´m sure that the answer is really simple but sometimes you can´t see the woods beacuse of all the trees. I have a encoder, and i want to count up and down. The procedure beeing as follows, machine starting at position 0, going up to a value, say 120, switches direction, passes 0 point and going to a new value, say 150. then back again and so on. I also need to be able to change the zero point from time to time. To set the values i used the user webpage function, and that works great. I tried to use two counters, and also done some testing with the hsc but no luck. The encoder have A, B , Z outputs. I guess it´s really easy but i´m losing sleep over this one. Thanks in advance.
