But when you have only 6 counts/minute then you could not count/second. To count per second you can measure over a time-OB, for example OB35 where you can check what is counted in the cyclic program every second (OB35 time-interrupt on 1 second). For 60 seconds, you can not use OB35, because the time would be to long, you could devide however OB35 calls with the construction of commands: AN M 10.0 =M 10.0 BEC after this commands the time would be two times the OB35 call time... The binairy inputs have to be counted in OB1, OB1 have to be then faster then the dutycycle of the signal you want to count. When the cycletime is higher then you have no change to count all the pulses. Then a countermodule is advisable.

The block have to be called in a Time-OB and must at least 4 time as fast as the input is switching. The time have to be given also on the block and is calculated by dividing the to measure time by the call-time of the time-OB. When it is a small pulse then you could measure that one in OB1and make the puls some longer with a off time. The program could be made of the configuration file and after that read in the symbolic file, after that you could read in the AWL file and compile that one, Attachment Simatic Count.zip (102 Downloads)
