Hello gsabatino; Hardware-in-the-loop coupling of a real PLC with SIMIT requres the insertion of a SIMIT Unit connected to your CPU either with Profinet or Profibus-DP, as you can see in this flyer: If you decide to try this route, there are many documents on SIMIT available on SIOS, and a few application examples for the SIMIT Unit. Use the search bz at the right of this page to locate them, search for SIMIT dfor example and filter with Knowledge Base. For xmple, the Operating Instructions for SIMIT Unt can be found here: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109805357 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello gsabatino; To my knowledge, you need the SIMIT Unit to couple SImit to a real (hardware) PLC. Without it, you can only couple to one version or another of PLCSim. Look at the following coupling document for SIMIT to seek confirmation. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109795246 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
