Couple ring topology:conection between common switch and coupling rings must be redundant!

rm1902 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	I have two couple rings. In total 4 rings. Rings in the pair reserve each other. I need to have common information area. It may be a common switch that collect information from two couple rings (see attachment). But conection between common switch and coupling rings must be redundant! Any ideas?? In the attachment there a sample for redundant coupling. I advise to contact your contact person in engineering or sales. In the second place, my contact person in engineering that you advise me to contact can't help me. May be you didn't understand me exactly. Please, see the attachment below with the exacter scheme. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Roman, as I expect you to have redundant H-Systems (S7-400) running with CP 1613 or CP 1623 with S7-Redconnect on PC side I think you will need the full redundancy set. You already send a lot of money on two redundant optical rings for each PLC, a redundant Server setup... than you should keep the redundancy on the complete system. If you configure S7-Redconnect, how did you configure the PLC / PC connections? Personally I would spend a second CP 1613 or CP 1623 to each PC and a second Switch to interconnect the three rings (one of each PLC) together.
