alexfizeau Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	has anyoe had ever used CP340 in communicaton with a software application designed in Visual Basic v6.0 ? can someone write me a simple example of WR_REC SFC58 usage, because I do not quite understand how the inputs (in the SFC) RECNUM and RECORD should be written how should I define the data record, as a DataBlock in bytes ? to connect to a PC using a CP340 RS485/RS422 I should use the free ASCII driver? i need to use for communication between PC and CP340 FB2 [P_RCV] and FB3 [P_SEND], nut I cannot find them in my library. I only have DP_RCV and DP_SEND. why? where I should find them ? many thanks

alexfizeau Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	If I am tryng to create a communication between CP340 and a PC, I should have istalled the 3964 protocol in the PC? Using P_SEND and P_RCV function blocks of the CP340, I should implement a Send function and a Recieve function (with checking of the communication line, start character, end charaters etc.) or I simply send by P_SEND to communication partner and at the PC I read the buffer of the serial port ? And with P_RCV I read the buffer of the CP340... Is it this simple ? Many thanks.

Here is a link to example: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/8797119 Unfortunately it's not for free to download. They use ASCII protocol and Hyperterminal to communicate between CP340 and PC. Best regards, Wizard
