Hello KGI; So you have a working setup based on the same configuiration? I do not believe that versionmismatches should causemisbehavior of such modules. I will presume that you have compared both systems for any difference, including the function calls. You have copied both communication FCs in the CPUs program, so oit can call them (not only the function calls used inside the program)? In any case, is you have a blinking LED on the CP, the first step is to open the Diagnostic Buffer for that module, and any other that shows a Failure (Red Cross) icon in the online view of the HWConfig editor. Simply double-click on the faiiled module icons to open the diagnostic view to open the diagnostic buffer. The entries found there should give you an idea of the problem. In any case, look at the following FAQ, which is written to help setup a CP 342-5 as a DP slave to a non-S7 master (in this case, a S5 master). The section on slave setup should give you more guidelines: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6711776 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
