Good afternoon dchartier, I stayed off topic a little, it was running for me. So about the tests, here's the thing, I think it's not the GSD or the simocode, because I can test the Simocode 3UF7000 with the profibus port on the CPU I'm using, I can communicate normally with the simocode relay through the profibus port of the CPU. But when I try to use the CP-342-5 port I cannot communicate as Simocode. That's why I don't think it's the GSD file or the simocode. The problem is that I cannot communicate with the simocode using the CP-342-5 profibus port.

Hello EngOpp; I am not sure if I should congratulate you that the program works with the integrated port of the PLC, or if I have to lament that you cannot program the CP 342-5 correctly to exchange data with the Simocode. Is it enough that you have found a way to make it work, more easily? I did try to warn you that the interface of the cP 342-5 is always confusing when you begin working with it, especially when the size of the data exchange of functions DP_Send and DP_Receive have to be properly selected. If you continue working with the CP 342-5 i suggest that your efforts be concentrated in that area, referring to the links I proposed in my first answers concerning the CP 342-5 data exchange functions. From where I find myself at this time I cannot provide much more help than i have already. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
