maktas Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi I am enable to send string data with UDP Protocol on CP 343-1 Lean. But I am not enable to receive data from PC on the same port and UDP Protocol. I am using FC 6 AG_RECV function my function outputs NDR= 0, ERROR : 0, STATUS : 8180 . When I put the data sniffer, I see that the PC is sending my data packet ? What can I do for solving this problem ?

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi maktas, if I understand you right, you are trying to receive an UDP stream from your PC using AG_RECV on your CPU? AG_SEND and AG_RECV are normally used back-to-back as they use a specific protocol. So if you want to send from your PC you either have to use a Siemens PC station with FC5 (AG_SEND) or you have to implement the SEND protocol by yourself. Hope this helps. Regards, Rated X

Without looking at your code and configuration, I could only speculate as to the reason for this (e.g. lenght does not match, incorrect connection configuration etc.), so allow me to point you to some additional resources in which you will hopefullyfind the answers: How do you configure a UDP connection for data exchange between S7-300 and/or S7-400 by way of Industrial Ethernet CPs? What properties, advantages and special features does the UDP protocol offer? How do you send/receive data to/from multiple communication partners via the IE CP of an S7-300 or S7-400 station using the UDP protocol? Functions (FC) and function blocks (FB) for SIMATIC NET S7 CPs Programming Manual I hope this helps and please let us know what you find out.

V.D. Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi. I got the same problem. maktas, did you solved your problem? I'm trying to recieve data from port 170 of remote node to my CP 443. Remote node is truely sending packets to my ip adress and port which number is 43690. and I have no error and no ndr with status 8181. But when I'm trying to send data to CP 443 (same 43690 port) from UDP-sender program (TheOne Syslog sender) from port 1100 it goes ok. I understand that port 170 is "print_srv" reserved port, but I can't change port number of sender's node. What should I watch?

Arde Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, Is there any conclusion for solving this. I am having a similar case. With CP343-1 ag_send FC5 works fine to PC application. Ag_rcv FC6 does have same situation as Maktas in his post. NDR=0, RCV_ERR=0, STATUS=8180. I checked with Wireshark that length of a userdata is similar than in RECV parameter on function. I can see from NCM that CP343-1 is receiving something on same cycle than PC application will send data. Any ideas? -Ari
