We have a redundant configuration consisting two S7 H-Stations (APs1 & AP2) , in conjunction with some “OSM” creates an optical ring, that interchange data between two APs and server units (like attachment). Data Link between two APs is very critical and needs to be watched continuously for disconnection and probably data loss. To be assured about this, I want to implement a diagnostic procedure that monitors all Ethernet connection to CP443-1 and in the case of disconnection, sends an alarm to Operating Station. I have some questions about such a diagnostic procedure: 1- When “AP 1 –A” is master which CP is responsible for data transfer to OSM? 2- If we change the CP1-A to stop mode, while AP 1 –A is still master, which CP does send/receive data to OSM? 3- When AP 1 –A is master, I disconnect the Ethernet cable of CP1-B . Is there any diagnostic procedure (for example Diagnostic OB, or SFC/SFB) that detect disconnection from One of CPs? I want to detect disconnection in Each CP (CP1-A or CP1-B) and send a diagnostic alarm to operator to be aware about connection missing in one CP.
