CP 5512 communication problem

Gil Member Joined: 11/5/2006 Last visit: 11/9/2006 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	HI, I have set up my computer as a DP slave PC station and I want to communicate toa PLC (CPU 414) via profibus using a CP5512. I have make the setup in the station configuration editor, downloaded the hardware configuration of the PC station internaly to my PC and the status for theCP5512is now "run" When I go on line to the PLC hardware configuration, I see the DP slave PC station as not present on the bus. I get the following message : Implaussible answer received from DP slave (0000: 20 04 00 FF 90 01). I have tried for hours different solutions with the set up of the PC station. I also changed the cable... but it seems I am not available to solve this problem... and I am getting crazy [:mad:] Can someone help on this topic ? Thanks in advance for your help. Gil

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Gil, have you tried the Steps mentioned in the FAQ: Commissioning and configuration of a PC-Station as DP-Slave and SIMATIC S7 as DP-Master with the SIMATIC NET-OPC Server (as of CD 07/2001) I wonder, for example if the OPC Scout is up already or not... just for me to know, how does the system look like. Do you have a second PC with another CP to go online to the S7 CPU? Best regards J_Bell

NowI have tried and set up the OPC server in the station configuration editor. Then in the hardware configurtaion of thePC station, I have set up the CP 5512 application to OPC server. I get exactly the same problem on PLC side : implausible answer. Using the configration console (SIMATIC NET) /modules / CP5512 / Network diagnostics :the test of the communication is okay. ............. /modules / CP5512 / bus nodes : I see the DP master and the DP slave. It seems from the PC station side, it's working. From the PLC side, it's not working !!??!! For information. I am online with the PLC via TCP/IP (CP443-1) and communictaing between the PC station and CPU via profibus.
