CP 5613 A2 + profibus cable + CPU 224/EM277 + OPC.SimaticNET(S7 protocol)

A0307 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi all :) I will go direct to the question. Is it possible to use the OPC.SimaticNET opc server running in a PC with a CP 5613 A2 card to communicate with a S7200/EM277 through a profibus cable using S7 protocol? The CP5613 A2 is configured as master and the EM277 as slave. I'm not able to find if the EM277 supports the S7 protocol anywhere (FAQs, support...) Thanks in advance and best regards.

A0307 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I've had the chance to test this config this morning. It works, so the EM277 SUPPORTS the S7 protocol over OPC/Profibus. Regards.
