CP card 342/343 replacemennt problem

kanan Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	Dear All. I have problem with replacement of CP module. I replaced module and then downloaded hardware configuration to CPU 315-2DP and faults cleared but I am now can not operate AC motor drives which connected to this CPU via CP. New module taken from another PLC system. both modules are the same with only one difference- old one had x/3/4/5 , new one x/5/6/7 . Please help. thank you very much. Best regards Kanan

Vitas Posts: 74 Rating: (2)	Hello kanan, if I remember good, the cards CP342-5 support communication with protocol DP (Distributed Periphery), but CP343-5 support the FMS (Field Message Specification) only. Maybe this is the point of problem. Vitas

Afirmware update corrects the following symptom: "Problem in the case of a repeated download of the configuration to the CP (CP sporadically remained in STOP)" Here is a link to the information : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19726245 Now there is a later version of firmware available V5.7: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24104930 Again, this applies if you have part# 6GK7-342-5DA02-0XE0.
