I have installed CP1242-7 V2 module with CPU1211. I have to use it to send SMS to all concerned persons regarding power failure. I want to know the maximum limit of recipients. Is it only 10 mobile numbers?

How to send message to 25 mobile numbers?

hi,

the CP1242-7 can store 10 messages. The number of recipients is not limited. 

You can connect to one recipient with TC_CON, send with TC_SEND and disconnect with TC_DISCON. Then you have to do this with the next one. So the number of recipients is only limited by CPU-memory.

Have a look to the manual and the TIA-help to get further information.

I am using CP1242-7 V2 module in which no need of defining TC_CON, TC_SEND blocks for sending SMS. We need to define recipients name and message details into message section of local module CP1242-7. Now question remain same i.e. how many maximum recipients can be configured in the step 7.

okay, I got you. But on this way you are limited to 10 messages. And the numbers are assigned to the projected messages. 

But when you use the blocks, like I told you, it shoud be possible to send more. with V2 you can use other blocks, the normal blocks for Open User Communication. Have a look in the manual, chapter 5:

You have to connect to one recipients, send the message, and disconnect. One after another, 25 times.
