Henio Posts: 53 Rating: (2)	Hi, can i use this CP as standart ethernet/profinet interface (as the interface on 1200 CPU) for communication for example with panel (KTP400) ? Im testing this CP and for now im even not able to set IP adress for it. And CP is blinking with red flash. Thanks for any idea. Henio. PS.: In diagnostic status i see: Not reachable Fault LED (SF) Does it means CP is faulty (its new). I suppose power suply is going through bus.

I am not familiar with that component.. but checking from the catelog the description is: TIA catelog description CP 1243-1 DNP3 communications processor for connecting SIMATIC S7-1200 to control center with DNP3 protocol. You need Profinet. Not DNP3. Why do you not just use the port on the PLC? We use off the shelf PC network routers (with Wi-Fi). We link programming computer, panel and PLC together. The added advantage your PC can "roam" the factory floor. Try that instead. Greetings. w
