Point-to-point communications (e.g. between two S7-400 CPUs on the same rack) are not supported. So I guess, it is not possible.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I agree with EDR. There is no simulation for Communication or Function modules at all. If you want to do a Test with a PC and I/O you may have to use WinAC or WinLC. The simulation of PLCSIM includes logical issues within the PLC program but not in peripherial. Best regards J_Bell

But i am going to try it lets see.

The sample you mentioned is a Sample for the C Interface for a Windows PC to runs Send / Receive on. The question asked was to run a PLC Simulation on a PC that simulates the serial communication for a CP 340. I hope you agree with me that this is something slightly different. Best regards J_Bell

But i'mwonder, why there is softwares to simulate de Send/Receive of the serial interface for microcontrollers and there isn't to simulate the CP340?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry but the SRSAMPLE is for Industrial Ethernet. There is a Service called SEND/RECEIVE for Layer 4 communication on Ethernet ISO, ISO on TCP, TCP or UDP communication. For such issues this sample was made for. It is certainly not made to run RS232 or any other Interfaces than Ethernet on. Best regards J_Bell
