CP341 as Master with Conflicts Protected Bloks

Banxico Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I have two CPUs S7-400 (redundant) and five CP341 (two works as Modbus Master and three works as Modbus Slave). I am using Step7 V5.3 + SP3. I upgraded the software: Simatic S7 CP PtP Param to 5.1 SP8 Simatic S7 CP PtP Modbus Master to 3.1 SP4 Simatic S7 CP PtP Modbus Slave to 3.1 SP5. FB7 P_RCV_RK is version 3.0 and it has 3142 work memory, and Last Interface Change date is 14.08.2007. FB8 P_SND_RK is version 3.0 and it has 2876 work memory, and Last Interface Change date is 14.08.2007. After the upgrade and I saved the new FC 7 y FC 8 in CPU,I have two errors in CPU: Area length error when reading Area length error when writeing You can see these errors in attach file. jklm Platinum Member Joined: 12/22/2006 Last visit: 1/25/2022 Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, I suggest to erase the instance DBs of all calls to FB7 and FB8 and regenerate them. May be the new FB versions have cahnged instance DBs against previous versions.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, did you also load the changed DB’s completely? It looks that way that you created the new DB’s but they might be not loaded. Especially as only the FB 7 is called as reason for this fault... constantly. Best regards J_Bell

Banxico Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Hi J_Bell, thank you for your answer, Yes, I created newDB and overwrite FC 7 in my Project, after I loaded these block in PLC, but I have the sameerror. I find out with Simatic S7 CP PtP Param to 5.1 SP8,there are two error in CP 341 (Area length error when reading andArea length error when writing). My recommendation is somebody (technical person) can see these problem, because It's possible they need new services pack fot CP PtP Param with CP 341. Thanks you for all Moisés Mendoza
