CP341 as Slave - Conflicts in Protected Blocks

PCTC Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am trying to connect a Siemens/CTI 505 Modbus module as Master to a Siemens 341 Modbus module as a Slave. The 505 Master module is working OK, I have checked with a Modbus monitor program. The 341 module RX/TX lights both flash when I turn the S7-300 CPU to stop. When the CPU is in Run I am getting an "Area Length When Reading - Access Address 592" error. The FB80 instance DB only goes to DW591. When I check the block consistency of the program, FB80 has time stamp conflicts with FB7 and FB8. I am using Step7 V5.3 + SP3. The only change I have made recently was to update the hardware catalog. Why would three Siemens protected blocks be in conflict? FB7, FB8 Last Interface Change date is 21.07.1999, FB80 is05.02.2003. Are FB7 and FB8 just too old? If so are more up to date FBs available and from where. Upgrading to Step7 5.4 is not an option at the moment.

I have recently upgraded to version 5.4 service pack 5 from service pack 3 with HF1, I no longer have the HF1 option, what is the HF1 option, is this my problem? Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello, delete the IDB of´FB80 in the STEP7 project and generate a new one. Probably that may help. But it is necessary that the symbols of FB80 are in the symbol table. It won't work in a project without symbols! Regards, Kaulquappe
