CP341 as slave

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Dear Guys i want to communicate CP341 with CPU315-2DP as slave over a DCS networkd(Non siemens). There are multiple CP341 slaves which will send data to DCS. Please guide me how should i connect them. Thanks in anticipation

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Okz i will assign distinct addresses to each CP and will build 2 wire RS485 Network. But i have some doubt in mind. Shall i have to call 'X' times the routine FB80 (MODB_341).. say i m using two CP341 slaves so i will have to call same routine twice with different LADDR Thanks in anticipation

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Hike, I wonder what your configuration is about. The normal master-slave-configuration consists of one master and several slaves. If you have got two CP341, I expect they are located in two Simatic stations. So you have to call FB80 in each Simatic station once. Regards, Kaulquappe

Hike Posts: 138 Rating: (0)	Basically i have two slaves working as redundant one CPU working at once. But each CPU is connected to two remote I/O's IM153-2 and each IM has one CP341. The redundancy is software redundancy with CPU315-2DP. Suppose with master working it will have two CP341 to serve. Now in that case what should in software. Shall i have to call MODBUS routine twice with different addresses in OB1. Shall this scheme work Thanks in anticipation
