To be able to load the Lodable Driver- Modbus master to a CP 341, you need a license 6ES7870-1AA01-0YA1 , and the physical dongle (hardware plug-in license) that is delivered with it. You must insert this dongle in the back of the CP 341 to unlock the Modbus functionalities.

And this license is quite expensive, check with your nearest Siemens rep.

Our friend TIBI68 provides an alternative, a program he developped for a CP 340 and CP 341 that runs Modbus master functions without a license:

MODBUS RTU MASTER FOR CP340/341/441-X (NO DONGLE REQUIRED)

The functions programmed inside TIBI68's blocks are totally different than the ones offered by Siemens with their license, so you must start from scratch if you decide to go this way.

And you will have to accept that only TIBI68 (and others on the forum) can offer support for this program, Siemens will not recognize you if you ask them for help on those blocks. So study the program attentively before using it ; I hope it allows you to develop your application without problems.
