Hello Nander; The Siemens loadable driver for Modbus RTU master (6ES7870-1AA01-0YA1) requires the dongle to enable Modbus functions on your CP 341. SIMATIC S7-300/S7-400 Loadable Driver for Point-to-Point CPs: MODBUS protocol, RTU format, S7 is master https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/1220184 There is an alternative you can look into, provided by our friend TIBI68: MODBUS RTU MASTER FOR CP340/341/441-X (NO DONGLE REQUIRED) As you can see from the title, this driver requires no dongle, but it is not supported by Siemens officially, only by the developer himself.From the mgreat number of replies and exchanges in that thread it seems to be a working solution that you could look into. Hello, I have tried to program my CP341 without dongle like in the post of "TIBI68" but no respond. I have attached for you a screen shot for the configuration of my CP341 as a Modbus Master. My HW Config contains a CPU315-2DP (315-2AF03-0AB0) and a CP341 RS422/485 (341-1CH02-0AE0) to communicate with a modbus slave (temerature regulator ASCON X5). You can also find my program test in attachement . After downloading the program to the CPU every thing was OK but I have in diagnostic of the CP 341 a message "No dongle inserted.." please see attachement. Any help please.
