CP342-5 Slave to OpenPMC

MANS Posts: 37 Rating: (2)	Hi All, I have read the FAQs and some manual, but I am really confused now!! I already configure S7 313 (6E7313-6CF03-0AB0) to be a master controller for a Festo valve and Vega level transmitter.. That is working fine. Now this PLC has to be slave for a master CPU (OpenPMC104) which is controlling the valves with corresponding to the Level by Vega transmitter. To transfer IOs to the OpenPMC, need IOs mapping which I am trying to sort it out. In the manuals mentioned that i need to use FC1 and FC2 as send and receive, i have tried that, but doesn’t work at all.. Is the CP 342-5 can be a slave for the OpenPMC? If so, how and if possible to see an example please.. Please note: this CP card doesn’t have a configuration tab for communication purposes?? “as you can see in the attachment” Best Regards Mans Attachment Desktop.zip (100 Downloads)

So every DP-Master which workes with certificated slaves should be able to communicate with the CP. Within the options of the CP you have to select the operation mode DP-Slave. You have to programm the FC1 and FC2 to define the I/O-Data of your Slave. I found an example how to configure the CP to communicate with an S5. I don't know how to do it with your Master but I hope you could transfer the information to your needs. How do you operate an S7-300 CPU (with CPU 342-5) as slave via the PROFIBUS DP with an S5 (IM 308-C) as master? Within the options you will find a diagnostic tool which is very helpfull for this CP. Please inform us about your success. I'm interested in how it works Best regards Sabine

What this means” P#DB1.DBX0.0 BYTE 1” Are you trying to send DB1.DBX 0.0 only (ONE BIT ONLY) or trying to send the whole byte starting from DB1.DBx0.0 to DB1.DBX0.7? And why in DB1 had used a Word instead of bits?? ... With the FC DP_Send you have to configure the amounght of data which are "send" from the Slave-CPU to the Slave CP. So in your case, the first Byte within DB1 will be transferred. You couldn't transmit Bits. How the structure of the DB is organised isn't important I think MANS ... At CPLADDR there is 100 what that means?... Looking at your Hardwareconfiguration, you will find the "I/O Address" of the CP. This must be written to CPLADDR MANS ... if I set it up correctly by FC1 and FC2 ..that is all or i need to configure some thing else??... You could check within the diagnostic buffer of the CP that the FCs are working and how you have configured the CP by programming this FCs. If you got futher problems you could post screenshots of the programm and the configuration. I will try to answer your questions. Best regards Sabine
