CP343-1 (1EX30) as an Profinet I/O device

tfleuren Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I am trying to use a CP343-1 module as a remote I/O station. In the documentation I can find that it's possible to do this by "coupling" two CP's where one is connected to a CPU via the backplane bus and the other as a remote I/O station using profinet. However, I was wondering if it is possible in some way to only have to use 1 CP module, connected immediately to the Profinet I/O system of the CPU. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance. Regards, Tom

Controler and Device at the same time could be the following CPs: CP 343-1EX30 CP 343-1GX30/31 For this kind of application you have to use special function blocks.
