CP343-1 S7 Communication

IrVin_Chan Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm using CPU312 (6ES7 312-1AE13-0AB0) along with 2x CP340 (6ES7 340-1AH02-0AE0) and 1x CP343-1 (6GK7 343-1EX11-0XE0). As the CP343-1 is to communicate with a remote S7-400, i have set the connection in NetPro as S7-connections. However on the NCM S7 Diagnostics, it seems that it is trying to establisting a connection. Also, in the operating mode section, i got a 2 error as below, Send/Recv communication - Stop and cause is not configured. >>> where can i configure this? System connection - Stop and cause is task not started. >>> how can i start this? I'm able to ping the remote router and CPs but it seem that pinging from the NCM S7 Diagnostics is unable to get it? J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Irvin, don't worry. The Send/Receive communication is another type of communication link that may be configured within NetPro. As a Send / Receive Communication the following connection types are being used: ISO Transport Connection TCP Connection ISO on TCP Connection UDP Connection E-Mail Connection FTP Connection (depending on the CP you may use) As you do not have any of these connections configured you do not use the Send / Receive Connection an the System did not activate it. This System Connection is only being used if you need it, this is decided by the CP so do not worry. Best regards J_Bell

On my side, I have a redundant S7-400 system using CP443-1 for communication. On the NETPro, I configured my side of the station as shown on JPEG files "NetPro Config 001 & 002". The station configuration for the S7-300 station (Irvine's side) is as shown on the JPEG files "NetPro Config 003". CP443-1 <--> Router (172.16.16.1) <--> NTU ---- NTU <------> Router (172.20.1.1) <--> CP343-1 \| CP443-1 <- We are trying to use BSEND and BRECV to transfer data blocks. While using S7 NCM "PING" option, we tried to ping to each other's CP.We kept getting a No Response Thanks in advance!!! Attachment NetPro Config.zip (212 Downloads)

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, I think you will have to diagnose first of all the both CP’s. It is absolutely necessary to have the Router to be configured as Gateway in the network configuration of the CP's. If this is being done I would try to figure out the connection in between. Each Router must be pingable, as long as this is allowed. Please verify also that the open Port (Port 102) is allowed to be forwarded within all the Routers to be used. If all this is possible I think the Connections must be established too. Best regards J_Bell
