Rajendra Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I am having Step7 V5.4 installed on my programming unit. I would like to add CP441-1 in the hardware configuration for one of my project. I do not have its GSD file so I tried to update the hardware. When I selected cp441-1 infront of it shows V5.3 and when I tried to install, it doesn't install and error message pop up. My question is since I am having V5.4 installed is this the reason CP441-1 is not getting installed as it is in V5.3. Please suggest. Thanks Raj

sfa Posts: 70 Rating: (3)	Hi - Step7 v5.4 should have the card installed ; se attached picture. To configure the serial protocol you need to install the CD which comes with the card (CP441 v5.1 SP8). http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/27013524 If you dont see the cp441 in the hardware manager you should install the latest Hardware Pack http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23183356 Best of luck soren Attachment CP441_insert.jpg (321 Downloads)

john Enthu Posts: 69 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, If you are installing CP441-1, then u need to install MOdbus Drivers for the parameterisation. when u install the same, at that time only it will alllow to comunicate with third party devices. regards.......
