CP535 Backup Procedure

Is there any Configuration Data available in CP535? if yes how to take the Backup from CP535 so that incase of failure we can replace CP with Spare one. or else it can be pulg & play kind of module? Following are the MLFB. CP535-6ES5-535-3LB12 Thanks in advance.

This was edited using the configuration software COM535, and saved in a file on the programming unit. The configuartion data contains the MAC address assigned to the CP535 and the ISO connections with the communication partners. The configuration data stored in the file must be put into the CP535: - either by transfering the data online into a RAM module plugged in the CP535, and you need the COM535 software and a TTY cable connected between PG and CP535 to load the data - or in EPROM module that you must burn with the COM535 on a PG with prommerand plug into the CP535. If you are lucky and the configration is on an EPROM, you can replace the CP and put the EPROM on the spare. Be aware that there are also jumpers on the CP535 that must set (compare with the defctive CP).

Now,please answer my following doubts if possible. 1)if Eprom inside the Card is Safe we have no truble means by replacing the card and inserting the Eprom will serve the purpose. 2)but still if i want to take backup from Eprom i need COM535 Software as you said but i dont have it as of now. Here on Siemens Site it is available on Chargable Basis Com535 V4.0. i am using Step5 v7.23+hf2Version. my question is that Com535 V4.0 is compitible with Step5 v7.23+hf2? if yes i can purchase it online. Apart from this is there any license required for Com535 V4.0 separtly? 3)can you provideany Manual or Procedureregarding this Backup procedure? Thanks in advanced. looking forwardfor your earlist reply.

Using this software you can backup and change software of the CP535 and CP143 which is the successor of the CP535. I use this software together with Step5 V7.20. I'm not surewhetherit is compatible with V7.23. You don't need to install a separate license for this software. Check out this thread as well, about how to get COM143 software. Kind regards, BV

I uploaded the backup Sucessfully from CP535 using COM535 Software. i purchased COM535 Software via AVC online and then by installing it in my Field PG, i have suceesfully taken the Backup. But unforutanetly i didnotfound any Manual for CP535. Thanks again for all Valuable Suggestion. Soon i will publish Screenshot of Backup Procedure so it will helps to others.
