CP5511 Interrupt problem

dutton68 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I'm trying to install and use a CP5511 card on my new Dell Latitude E5500. Unfortunately whenever I install it it tells me that there is an interrupt conflict. The interrupt assigned is always the same as the Ricoh cardbus driver. (IRQ19) I have tried to usethe CP5511INF program to alter the IRQ manually but this does not seem to work. I have also upgraded the BIOS on the laptop. The error displayed is: Error 0x0318: Interrupt being used by other device. Check the settings of the hardware I have now ran out of ideas....... has anyone out there come up against the same problem? I have used Dell Latitude laptops in the past with no problems.

Look at the possible IRQ's and the memory resources needed. Otherwise think about the successor CP5512 or CP5711 Best regards, Wizard

I cannot be sure, but it probably started when I tried to plug and play a 5512 card, since my 5511 had been left in another bag. The 5512 would not work, and later, my 5511 would not work, either. Following the directions in the link fixed my 5511. Thanks, Doug T
