Donflore Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi! I have a problem in estabilishing conection with PLC using CP5511 interface. I am using Windows 98. When I insert the CP into the computer it is well detected but when I try to connect it to PLC doesn't work. I have a S7-315 2DP using a Profibus communication with an MP270b operator panel ... communication with the panel turns off when i plug the interface cable ... Is there anybody who can help me in this problem ? Thank you.

Look ... when I try to connect to a S7-226 PLC with CP5511(PPI) setting in the PG/PC configuration I get the message in the document attach to this message. Attachment msg_1.JPG (787 Downloads)

I am not sure if the CP has what it needs, have you checked if the PG / PC Interface settings are available and if the Test function works there, if available? Have you checken if the CP has a IRQ for itself? Just as a guess... Stay calm [:)]

Donflore Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hello ... If I click the test button in the PG/PC interface setting ... it doesn't works ... it gives me a message that sounds like that: "Synchronization error". I think my cable it's good ... the pinout layout it's: 3 to 3 4 to 4 5 to 5 8 to 8 I think i have to buy another one ... Anyway ... i thank you all for suggestions ...

Standard PPI-settings are: Transmission Rate: 9.6 Kbps Highest station adress: 31 The rest of the settings correspont to the standard settings. When your CPU has the standard out-of-the-box settings makeing a connection ,with the settings mentioned above, should work. Attachment Communications settings.jpg (771 Downloads)
