CP5611 do not want to work as DP-SLAVE

Uaconli Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am going crazy++ using CP5611 with Softnet-DP-SLAVE library and a C++ sw written by me, here the behaviour: I set DPS_Open() ---> no errors! I set DPS_Start() --> no errors! On the dp net a new *master* is visible I set DPS_Stop() --> no errors! On the dp net a new *master is visible BUT I WANT TO BE A SLAVE!!! ---------------------------------------- I've tried to change PG/PC setup in a lot of ways, the result is the same Thanks++ for the help Regards! Did you try this already? Is there another DP Master present at your network? Just to get some idea about your configuration. Best regards J_Bell

Only one DP master is on the network (the one I wanted to use for testing my application) Just to get some idea about your configuration. ... This is the first time that I use CP5611, it seems so strange to me that (using only slave functions) a master station goes on. I am really in trouble, I have few time and a lot of other problems ... I would strongly recommend to read the Manual Industrial Communication with PG/PC Volume 1 and 2. As a quick start you may start with Commissioning PG Station - Manual and Quick Start. For the DP Slave function the Configuration Console offers the following step by step document... maybe it helps you through. By the way, this document is from the SIMATIC NET V 6.3.
