amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	We are receiving some errors - 0x031a / 0x031b (screenshot attached). We tried the remedy found in the FAQ with the title : "How do Diagnostics and Remedy work in in STEP 7 when an online connection with the CP5511 is not possible?" However, it didn't solve our problem. We tried with both Access Points (MPI + S7 Online). We reinstalled the CP5611, but again the same errors. The cable that connects the card and the PLC has been tested and it is ok We changed both the Station Address Number and Timeout (Set PGPC Interface -> Properties -> Station Parameters ) but again the same errors. J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello Amateur, to tell you the truth... I know this fault... but I have no idea where you get the Screenshot "System Parameter_Unit.jpg" from. If you are in the PG / PC Interface settings and you have the CP 5611 (MPI) selected please open the point Properties. In the following window the first thing you see is acheckbox named something like PG/PC is the only Master on the bus... If the checkbox is unchecked please check it.With this the CP is active.If you have a S7-300 as partner, this unit is usually passive. So you need one active note to establish the MPInetwork... this has to be the PG. I hope it will solve your problem. Best regards J_Bell

amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	Hello J_Bell, Thanks for your quick reply and the relative information about how to establish the MPI network. We have already tried this solution but it didn't help. The screenshot you are referring is from the WinCC Explorer (Tag Management-> SIMATIC S7 Protocol Suite -> MPI => Right Click -> System Parameter). However, now we are receiving some different errors after reinstalling the SIMATIC Net software. We have also attached them. Is there any idea what else can we try? J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello Amateur, well actually, in my opinion at least it says still the same... anyway. Have you already tried to install the CP 5611 you use into another PCI Slot? Maybe something is wrong with this card, might be. If the checkbox does not fix the Problem I would try to see this test without any cable connected, if this still shows this message than you may change the PCI slot and finally I would contact the international Customer Support, maybe there is another way we do not think of. amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	Hello J_Bell, A. We changed the PCI slot and we receive the same error. B. Without any cable connected, we receive again the same error. We don't have an alternative CP5611 and before we open a Support Request, we'd like your insight. 1. From the SIMATIC NET Diagnostics and in the tab "Hardware", the result of the status test is "OK". (screenshot attached) 2. When we press the "flash" button in the identification area, we receive the corresponding message and the LEd of the CP starts flashing. Doesn't this mean that the CP5611 is OK? Or, is there any chance that the problem has to do with CP5611? From the Support Request, apart from their recommendations that you have also given us, they told us to delete all entries in windows event log of System (Administrative Tools-> Event Viewer). I refer that in case someone else has the same problem. However, this remedy also didn't help, so the card itself is not ok. Best Regards

And I am very sorry to say that your CP5611 is already failure, even if the HW test is OK, LED test is flashing, you can't connect to any devices. So it is sad, butmaybe you have to accept the truth....
