Hello aym_31; The gsd file for the CP 5614 as a DP slave does not exist, as such, but the following FAQ shows how it can be constructed by a user, and what the different sections must contain. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21687843 The easiest way to generate a gsd file is to copy the example file you have selected, paste it in a word processing program that uses no text formatting (such as Notepad), save the file as a .txt file, then rename it .gsd. This file you can import to a Profibus configurator to insert a Profibus-DP slave. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello aym_31; In the profibus, com website there are many interesting documents, including some on the structure of a gsd file. But they are not exactly straightforward, since they are written for manufacturers who design the Profibus-DP slaves, and already know what type of information the gsd file should contain. Look at this one, you can infer a lot from the contents: http://www.profibus.com/nc/downloads/downloads/registration-form/download/54/ Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello aym_31 should you (or your company) be a member of PI (Profibus International), you can download the GSD Editor from the link below for free which helps withGSD file viewing/evaluation and/or editing: PROFIBUS GSD Editor V5.0 If you are not a member of PI you could of course try to google"GSD editor" and perhaps get a different one for free(we do of course not endorse to download PI's copyrighted GSD editor for free from a different site). I hope this helps |
