J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Umencho, well... I admit I have not used it yet, buta colleague of mine uses this CP since last week. Sadly STEP7 V 5.4.5 is not available yet but SIMAITC NET offers the SP1 for the Edition 2008 CD. So we use the CP with V 5.4.4 of STEP7. It works very well, compairable with a CP 5512. It even works within a VM. If you need some more information... maybe I can tell you some more if you tell what you need to know in detail. Best regards J_Bell

Was imporant to know if this hardware works properly with Step7 v.5.4. One more thing. Is it strange that siemens released new hardware with recommendation to use higher version of software that in this moment doesn't release yet? What would be happen if this hardware doesn't works properly with old software? Ok, for this CP, maybe all necessary "things" are including in SP1 of SimaticNET version 7.1. best regards

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Umencho, you are right, true... it is a strange situation especially as you have to install SIMATIC NET Edition 2008 + SP 1 just to get the CP to work. But I think if you remember the times the CP 5512 was introduced we had the same situation. As far as I know STEP 7 V 5.4.5 is going to be released soon... at least I hope so... so the CP will work then. The other systems the CP may be used in will be available with the next mayor release or SP... I hope. Best regards J_Bell
