CPU 1214c is not communicating with KP400 COMFORT

Dear Experts, 

Am using CPU 1214C DC/DC/Rly (firmware version 1.0) , i  cant able to create an integrated connection between 1214C and KP400 comfort in TIA v12.

When i try to create a connection, it was showing UNSPECIFIED CPU ( kindly check the attached image).

if i use CPU of fimrware v 2.0 i the device confguration , the integrated connection is automatically getting created .

And also if i choose v1.0 in device configuration, it was showing " profinet interface is not supported"

Plz help me to create connetion between  1214C (firmware v1.0) and KP400.

i cant able to find "connection mechanism"option under the "protection" menu

Is GET/PUT function is the only option to communicate this type PLC ??.

The advise that Wizard is giving is good..
but please return to the original problem statement.

The KP400... do you know which firmware version does it have?
You do know that in the software you can select the version number.
I am not sure however if you can downgrade the version number though.

I did a test with no issue...... I was using for the test..
a)  HMI:  6AV6 647-0AJ11-3AX0    version 11.0.2.2 (not the COMFORT)
b)  PLC: 6ES7 211-1BD30-0XB0  version 1.0
c)  TIA Portal V13.0   <<< should not matter

Also.. do you know that the PLC can be upgraded to V2.2?....

So - What version HMI do you have?

version of my HMI is v 11.0.1.0. and also i tried by upgrading it to 12.0.

okay...    there is no need to make any upgrade to anything yet.

Now please go and make a new program.
This new program is confirm that the link will work.
You can follow these steps..

1. PLC of version 1.0     (empty project)
2. HMI of version 11.0.1.0     (empty project)
3. Make a new variable in the PLC tags... "Number" MW20 of INT
4. Drag "Number" from PLC tags into the 1st HMI page
5. compile the whole project.

It should not be a problem.... very strange.

Could you please attach this test program here on the forum?
Some detail screen captures of the hardware versions, perhaps?
Also please tell us which update and service packs you have loaded.

They will need the software TIA Portal V12 with
* Step7    Basic (or better) license
* WinCC  Comfort (or better) license

I do not have the software versions you have - so that is all I can do for you.
Hopefully others will have the software to check if there is "obvious" issues.

In my opinion the error occures, because of symbolic access.

Try to make a connection between HMI and CPU.

In CPU you declare a Datablock with several tags. Be sure to deselect the property "optimized access"

Now in HMI you declare a tag, and use the absolute address of DBx.DBW0. (Make sure theres is not a PLC tag selected)
