Hi All,

Do anyone here have  success configure using CPU 1510SP-1 PN WITH CM ptp ( ET 200 sp),the CM card sit on the same rack reading a Power Meter. 

I am getting the Error Code ' 81E2' . I have check all the setting and it is correct. I have try changing the parity to even ( Actual Device is None ) and i am getting error code '81e1'.

I am using V13 SP1 Upgrade 1. Do the version of Modbus COmm Load and Modbus Master impact the communication .

80E1 = Frame aborted  - Parity error

The "remedy" column in the manual however indicates that it can be related to much more than the parity alone

Check the connection line of the communication partners, or verify that both devices are configured for the same data transmission rate, parity and stop bit number.

If you use Modbus RTU (you did not tell it explicitaly), yes Modbus_Comm_Load is mandatory and instruction Modbus_Comm_Load allows you to configure the port of the communication module for Modbus RTU. You have parameters at the FB itself, but also hidden paarameters in the instance DB of the function. See the help of the block.
One important one is the "mode"

By default, you work in RS232.
But veru often Modbus devices use RS485.

Please check if you have used the correct mode.

The communication is set to RS 485. I have also verify the communication is the program and the fields device.I have also verify the setting in the FB instance. The fields device was check using modscan and I and getting reading.

Setting in hardware configuration is set to RS 485. Anything that i need to check or miss out.

from your ERROR STATUS value is clear that some different communication settings are configured on PLC CPU and your MB Sim SW. As in TIA help is description:

Check the connection line of the communication partners, or verify that both devices are configured for the same data transmission rate, parity and stop bit number.

But as you can see in my picture, the first Network I select 4 for mode (RS-485 two wire)
Network 2 I set baud 9600 and parity Even Network 4 goes active on done bit of Modbus Comm load

In network 4 I select Modbus slave with an address of 2

The screenshot at the bottem is from modscan my master simulator.
With all the same settings:
Device ID is 2 (Modbus address)
baudrate 9600 and parity even.
When I connect I get the error on my master Modbus message time-out

I use the instructions from MODBUS (RTU) v3.0
Modbus_Comm_Load V3.0
Modbus_Slave V2.3

ok, what kind of converter are you using now for interconnect PLC and PC application? Do you have proper wire connection between PLC and PC? Can you check some RX/TX led statuses on your PLC comm module with PC sim application send/receive?

I am using:

I use the pins 4 (-) and 11(+) (and even tried connecting 8 ground)

My converter shows the TX blinking, and on the PLC the RXD is blinking.
