CPU 1515F-2 PN version not in HW-catalog

Hi,

I have a 6es7 515-2fm02-0ab0 CPU, but the catalog of Tia V15.1 only has a 6es7 515-2fm01-0ab0 version.

Yes, I know, they are compatible, but the red blinking system failure led (see below) on the CPU doesn't make a good impression on the customer.

Where can I find a HSP file or GSDML file for this CPU, or other solutions?

Open the PLC device -> hardware configuration (properties & attributes).

Find the startup settings.

Change the drop-down selection so it runs with compatible devices even with different part #s.

Compile & Download hardware configuration (right-click on PLC -> download hardware config).

Start -> Run

Still blinking?

Module exists.

Differences were found between the loaded configuration and the offline project.

The online and offline module configuration data are different.

Hi, that option was already on, otherwise it wont start.

So yes, the sf failure led is still blinking.

My apologies for a bad assumption on my part...

What's in the PLC diagnostics buffer with the RED error mark?  What device is causing the error?

Is it an analog or digital device that is out of range?  Or a profinet device that is offline?

 The last item in the diagnostic buffer is a warm restart, so there is no problem with IO.

What Firmware version does the PLC have?

FW version 2.8 is not suppported by TIA 15.1, you need to use TIA V16 for that.

But you could also try downgrading the firmware, which is pretty easy using TIA Portal.

please check the diagnostics buffer of the cpu/post the diagnostics buffer here (not the module diagostics). Online & Diagnostics -> Diagnostics -> Diagnostics buffer -> Save as.

I assume there is another/additional difference in the configuration, as the CPU 6ES7 515-2FM02-0AB0 is compatible to 6ES7 515-2FM01-0AB0.

The "Additional Info" in the module diagnostics, is always shown. Also the message in download dialogue to the difference is always shown, but can be ingored.

When you click on the Red box and see what (other than "No Action") options are available?  I think you simply need to select the other option and download.

It also may be that the 01 and 02 versions are not hardware compatible.  I do not know that as I do not use F PLCs.
