cy429 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	hello sir, I just want to know why the CPU 312 during power on ,with memory card (not yet configured) the status error indicator "stop" blinks, but when you removed the memory card it , its on the normal state, I mean its green in run mode,

cy429 Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hello Ste39 I'll try to configure the hardware using 512 Memory card from siemens, its working but with SF alarm, (color red) when i try to look diagnostic buffer "FC not Loaded" but when I'll see the operating mode current operating modeis RUN due to curiosity .. I make simple ladder (set reset)and download it and it works online, but why I have SF fault?

I would expect that the number of the "missing" FC is inluded in the diagnostic buffer message, and also the OB required to handle that type of error (probnably OB121, "Programming error"). The presence of that diagnostic OB in the CPU program allows the PLC to run even with the SF LED active, and gives you time to correct the error (locate the missing FC and download it to the PLC program in this case).. Using the diagnostics buffer of the SIMATIC S7-CPU Which organization blocks do you need for error handling? Could you copy the complete message (or your diagnostic buffer messages) to this thread po we may examine it and maybe give you more ideas? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

Hello cy;
Depending on the version of CPU 312, it was loaded with a work memory of 16 or 32 kB.
See these Product Support pages:

6ES7312-1AE14-0AB0	CPU312, 32KB
6ES7312-1AD10-0AB0	CPU312, 16KB

The rule of thumb with MMCs (load memory) was that the load memory had to be at least 1.5 times the size of the work memory.

So with your 512 kB load memory you are well in the clear.
