CPU 314 PN/2DP hardware failure

CuriousGJ Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Dear techies, I got non working CPU 314 PN 2DP. Checked and found that 24V is present at terminals but still CPU is unable to power up. I opened it and found that OMF 125 4A fuse (see image) has blown due to direct +ve and -ve shorted . After lot of playing with this hardware I am unable to find out where exactly it got short. In this PLC there are 4 cards 1. CPU Power card (Which is shorted) 2. Communication card contains 2 Ethernet and 1 Profibus/MPI port. 3. Input module. 4. Output module. So does anyone had problem like this? Can I get only this card from Siemens so I can save whole CPU price? I would be thankful to seek any kind of help here. If it is under warranty then please contact local siemens company with serial no serial no will be normally mentioned next to MLFB no on CPU. Contact SUPPORT REQUEST !!!! Wish You a Happy New Year 2015 !!
