I have the old PLC with old modules

- CPU 314C-2DP 6ES7314-6CF01-0AB0

- SM 331 8AI 6ES7331-7KF02-0AB0

- SM 332 4AO 6ES7332-5HD01-0AB0  

and I need to change the PLC to the new one CPU 314C-2 PN/DP 6ES7314-6EH04-0AB0, but leave the old SM-modules

Can I be sure that there will be no problem connecting the new PLC with old SM-modules?

Hello _Pavel_,

I try your configuration at the TIA-Portal V13 SP1 Upd9 and it works.
You should have no problems if you use the "old" SM-modules.
The SM-modules are all in the actual hardware catalog.

Hi,

yes it will work. Do you have any other modules i.E. CP343-1 ? Then you should check if PLC and CP is compatible.

2. I've also tried first this configuration in TIA Portal. I just didn't think it's enough to make sure about the hardware compatibility..

For checking compatibility with TIA you could use TIA Readiness Check Tool:

and when exchanging s7-3xx cpu's this tool is also a nice  to have : 

S7-300 Upgrade Check Tool
