CPU 315-2 DP with CP343-1 communication issue

SeanL Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Dear all, May some one please advice me on what is the maximum concurrent communcation can be established by CP343-1 (6GK7 343-1EX30-0XE0). Lately i added in the above mentioned card on my CPU 315-2 DP rack to connect the mentioned system to plant SCADA system (Proficy i-Fix system) with redundent server. However, it seems like the CP343-1 is not capable to form 2 concurrent connection at the same time. The redundent (secondary server) always failed to establish connection with CP343-1. Once i shutdown primary server, the connection at secondary back to online (network established). My question is, is there any setting can be done to increase the concurrent connection? Any other possible way to improve the system? Upgrade the CPU/CP? Please advise. Thanks in advance. Regards Sean Attachment moduleInfo.zip (62 Downloads)

However, the CP uses one S7 connection of the CPU as soon as at least one S7 connection or PG/OP connection runs over the CP. Here it does not matter whether 1 or 16 S7 connections run over the CP. Just one S7 connection of the CPU is used. Open Communication You can configure up to 16 open communication connections via the CP. These resources are shared with the S7 connections. The CP establish a maximum of 16 connections (mixed S7 and open communication connections). Open communication in the CP does not affect the communication resources of the CPU. If you configure only open communication connections via the CP, no S7 connection of the CPU is used. Instances A maximum of 16 instances can run over the CP. You can, for example, send and receive on 8 S7 connections or just send or just receive on 16 S7 connections. It is not possible to send and receive on all the 16 possible S7 connections. This applies even if you wait until a job has been completed to then work on a different S7 connection. The CP rejects this. 16 instances are the absolute maximum. Does this helps you as information?

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello, the CP can manage up to 16 connections parallel, so this can not be the mistake... I think, the communication to HMI via OPC is an open communication.... Have a look at this overview http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/16767769 Do you have any connections over CPU?
