İ have 2 problems at the configuration of  CPU 315 2 DP  with CP343 Lean.

1- i can reach the CP343 Lean via Ethernet connection, However, i cannot reach the CPU315 2DP.

2- When i insert the memory card to CPU315 2 DP, communucation with CP343 Lean is failed.

2- Actually, it is first time configuration, i just configure hardware and network settings and try to download the CPU 315 2 DP.

Without memory card i can communucate with CP343 Lean with ethernet port by using PC. When i put card inside the CPU315 2 DP, communucation stop with CP 343 Lean.

is this a new and empty card? or is there anything on it, like an older project?

Normally when you have an empty card, you are projecting everything with the rigth adresses and then you can load.

When you can´t reach the CP and/or CPU try to search for the accessible devices in PLC-Ethernet-accessible devices. There you can see if the CP maybe gets an other IP from the MMC.

I want to ask one last question can i work with 512 kB memory card or i need higher (4mb) memory card for CPU 315 DP?.

Hello,

512kb sufficient but again its depends on ur program code also.

Better to clean memory card thru simatic manger or try to reset PLC memory  after inserting memory card and then download program in PLC .
