CPU 315-2 PN/DP + ET200S interrupts

Profiquester Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have CPU 315-2 PN/DP which is connected to ET200S distributed periphery over SCALANCE X208. ET200S is composed of: IM151-3 Standart, PM-E, 5x 4DI HF, 5x 2DO HF, 1x 2AI ST, 1x 2AO ST. I measuredtime between interruptsandnumber ofinterrupts. I have smallprogram in OB 40, but I reached about 60 responses per second. Is it normal, or can I reachhigher cadence? And does CPU 315-2 PN/DP support IRT mode? Excuse my english , thank you very much!

If you mean is it possible to do more interrupts a second then I have to say, please don't use that much interrupts a second (or even higher) because your program (OB1, OB35) wouldn't get some time to handle the rest. Because in the CPU 315 PN and also in the ET 200S PN arerespectivily aERTEC 400 and a ERTEC 200 I think there must be something possible in the near future. Maybe that with STEP7 V5.4 SP2 that is almost coming there are some possibilitys. In the Hardware configuration are now under EDIT --> PROFINET IO --> Domain Management... some menu's that geyed out for now (SP1), but someday they may be used. Also the "Topology..." would be activated some day.

Profiquester Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, you understood very good, I didn't knowhow to say it . I'm doing some tests of profinet comunication for my thesis about profinet. That interrupt test was extreme event (benchmark).I'm going to see some ertec controllers documentation - I want to analyze each packet which was send between CPU and ET200S. Can you give me some tips dor documentation, if you know, I would appreciate it. Thank you for your advice!

This is a nice book that describes very well the things you have to know about PROFInet. I have a very similar configuration: - IM151-3 PN High Feature - 4 DI HF DC24V (131-4BD01-0AB0) - CPU 315-2 PN/DP It's possible to configure interrupts in HW Config for the input module but I don't get action executed in OB40. I read in the manual for the input module that Hardware Interrupts are possible only with a IM151-7/CPU. Does anybody know if interrupt actions, in the case of IM151-7, are executed in OB40 of this CPU or they can be somehow seen also by the central CPU, like 315-2 PN/DP?
