I would like to ask you about some help. I have relatively old museum part CPU CPU 315-2DP 6ES7 315-2AF03-0AB0. I want to established connection with it, but cant. I used MPI/DP adapter (like in attachments), I changed settiong of connection in PG station with a lot of different configuration but without any result. I use Simatic STEP 7 V5.5. Do these parts match to this PLC?

I used Virtual Machine with Windows XP SP3

About PG/PC setting I used PC adapter,( MPI), PC adapter,( AUTO), PLCSIM (MPI), PLCSIM(Auto). I used a lot of configuration possibilities. I tried with 19.2 speed mainly  but with 38.4 as well. I adjusted pc adapter speed switch according to pg/pc setting.  Im not sure did I missed smth or not.

sry to not support for VM. Your problem is speed in my opinion, MPI porotocol use generally 187.5 speed so check that. Other problem can be max number of nodes detected. Pls be kind post screenshot of your PG/PC settings, each screen. You can then zip them and attach here.

Thanks for your advice. I zipped and attached what I already have. I will visit my client at Thursday and try handle this.

For MPI page network parameters I used 187.5 Kbps as well and It didnt helped.

For local connection page I used transmision rate I used 19200 and 38400 following to small switch on adapter. I used COM1 and COM2 but didint worked.

pls use generally address 0 for PG/PC in your settiongs. Address 3 can be maybe set on PLC and therefore you can't connect to PLC because of same address. What switch??? Can you pls make photo or draw diagram about your connection between devices.
