CPU-315-2DP in fault

sandy1984 Posts: 110 Rating: (0)	Hello Experts, We have a S7 300 PLC ie CPU-315-2D as master and 4 CPU-315-2DP slave plc's.Everything was running perfect till last week and suddenly it went to stop mode. now SYSF indication is constantly red and BUSF is flashing red and CPU mode is stop mode. I have tried to restart the system but same situation. Master CPU is having one more module for SCADA communication which is CP-342-5 which is having no indication now.Please guide me to troubleshoot this problem. hdhosseini Diamond Expert Joined: 1/28/2009 Last visit: 10/6/2024 Posts: 6852 Rating: (1365)	Dear sandy1984 , Fast visual check: Blinking BUSF is an indication of a problem in your PROFIBUS subnets.Check all elements in both subnets like slaves, connectors and even your communication processor to have DC voltage or not to be defective. Detailed fault finding: When CPU enters the STOP mode , the easiest way to find out the reason would be checking the "Diagnostic Buffer" of CPU.For that, while online,select CPU in your project--> PLC-->Module information.It is also possible with CTRL+D key combination.In this way, you will find out the last event that is explaining the problem.Another approach would be checking your hardware online, all modules plus buffer of communication processor. Ste39 Platinum Member Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 10/8/2024 Posts: 4620 Rating: (708)	Hello sandy1984, First follow our Expert hdhosseini, if you want to go the CPU in Run try download to the CPU (if you not have) OB80,82,86,121 and122 but PAY ATTENTION the CPU will not go in STOP mode!!!

Can you Check the Powerconnection to the CP? If the CP is projected and used in the PLC Configuration then it can be the reason for the STOP and fault LED's if the CP is defect. Regards Christoph

sandy2014 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi Christoph, Yes I also doubt the same as there is no indication on the module I believe because of this CPU went stop mode with fault indications , Till now I am waiting for site visit before that I need to get prepared with cause and remedy... I have step 7 V5.5 with MPI cable I hope this is enough.. Thanks sandeep
