Hello Philip, If you look at description of CPU there isn't mention IE ISO. The MAC address you will need to recognize the CPU when is trying to set the first IP address. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev |

Hello DesignTech While ISO protocol does requireusage of MAC addresses, this not does NOT mean that the existence of a MAC address (which every Ethernet card in the world has) on a PN port now allows you to do "pure" ISO protocol over it. A PN CPU cando "pure" ISO though,you do however require a CP343-1 CP in that case. You may also find the attached compendium useful, which is a good reference document to have in general. CPU-CPU communication with SIMATIC controllers (compendium) Last but not least, what is your partner PLC that you want to communicate with. Perhapsit supports ISO-on-TCPwhich you can do via the PN port (even though it has ISO in the name, itis TCP/IP and IP address based) I hope this helps |
