CPU 315 DP - AO card channel no voltage output

do you change anything at the system before the card is not working?

In my opinion should you check the wiring between the card and the amplifier.
The next step is you disconnect the amplifier and check the output of the card.
This card have a short circuit protection for the voltage outputs. 

Check also the value of the output-word, this should be between 0...27648. (in your case 0...10 V DC).

Thank you for the reply, we did not change anything at the system.

The card and amplifier wiring is already checked and is ok but when I disconnect the amplifier and check the output of the card, there is still 0V output.  The other analog output channels on this card are working fine and giving output voltage.
This card have a short circuit protection for the voltage outputs (Is this for each channel or protection for all card?)

Now we are planning to disconnect the connection at card and give external voltage to amplifier to see if this will open the hydraulic valves.

If you have any other advice I would appreciate it.

the short circuit protection is for each channel.

Is the SF-LED of the card light on or off?
If the LED is off it looks like a defect channel, because you make no changes at the hard- or software.

You can check value of the output word for the channel, if this is not "0" then you should have a output voltage.

You can check also the diagnostic buffer of the CPU.

Can you tell us which software do you use - Step7 Classic or TIA-Portal and which Version?

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.  The SF LED is off and there appears to be no voltage present at channel output.  Do you know is it possible to repair this internal fuse/short circuit protection as I have no other spare channels on the AO card.

I think we are using Step 7 Classic but I am unsure .  Could you tell me how to check the diagnostic buffer/value of the output word using the simatic manager please?

I tried to attach an image of the HW config setup but I keep getting pop up this file could not be created even though it is only 400KB.

you can send the card to siemens or a other company which repair this cards. I have never repaired a AO-card.
