CPU 316-2DP with siwarex

automation_1 Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	Uploading a project from a CPU 316-2dp with a siwarex module in hardware configuration step 7 show me siwarex as "standard module" and provides just the I/O address (368/383); using cross reference i dont find that address (like PIW 368 ,PIW 370 etc..); how the weight from SIWAREX get into CPU?

Sometimes, it can be very helpfull to look at the "author" row inside the block overview in the simatic manager. automation_1 Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	I found the weight on PIW 386 but i reada number oscillating from-30000and -30200,ofcourse there is a scale but for eliminate oscillationi can look for different potential on masses?

If you see the Siwarex M module as a "standard module", please check, if the Siwarex M module is integrated into the HW Config. You have to see the Siwarex Mmodule into the path: SIMATIC 300 / FM-300 / Weighing modules (see also the attached file.) So, my question is: Do you see the Siwarex M module into that path? automation_1 Posts: 133 Rating: (2)	no in that path i have just SIWAREX U-1 and SIWAREX U-2; In my project configuration hardware siwarex appears like "standard module" ,input addresses start 368 lenght 16,output addresses start 368 lenght 16

Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 1153 Rating: (175)	Hello automation_1, On the configuration package CD of the Siwarex M module, there exist a "setup.exe"-file to integrate the Siwarex M module into the HW Catalogue. But if you don’t want to change the HW Configuration, it is not necessary to install that software. Into your Step7-program, there exist a function (original: FC41, but maybe the number was changed in your case.). This function is called “FC_SIWA_M” and handle the communication between the Step7-program and the Siwarex M module. This function has the two parameters “INST” and “IND” (see also the attached file). The parameter “INST” represent a DB-number.
