CPU 318-2 Profibus DPV1

Hello, I have a CPU 318-2 in firmware version v1.0.

On the profibus network I have a Fanuc robot and an SMC module.

I would like to add an ET200AL (IM 157-1) with I/O modules ET200AL. While compiling I had an error telling me that to put an ET200AL I had to have a profibus master in DPV1.

So I switch my CPU to firmware version 3.0 and change the DP mode. From "S7 Compatible" to "DPV1".

By changing this mode, will my other equipment work as before? Cordially.

only simple question also, you have some devices with DPV0 on bus? Try search for this on web.

The basic rule applies when you have a DPV1 master: DPV1 slaves, DPV0 slaves and S7-compatible slaves all work and respond correctly.
