CPU 319 Failure due to OB121

So, I have two 319 CPUs, both have almost exactly the same program, however, after I compile and download a program to one of them, the CPU goes to stop and the SF led is on. When I look at the diagnose buffer I find that there is an error due to OB121, due to address 0. WhatI did then was tocreate OB121 in the offline folder and the copied it to the online folder and then restarted the CPU, andit works then like a charm. However, it is becoming very annoying as I have to repeat this procedure every time that I download changes to the plc. I have attached the diagnosis file, but sadly is in German. OB121 is called by the operationg system when it detects a programming error, in order to gather more information from the failure and provide the user with details on the cause of this failure.There are many such diagnostic OBs (all OBs numbered in the 80s range and OB 121/122). Basically, yes, you create OB121 in the offline program folder, butthen yousimply dowload it to the CPU so it part of the program. That way you do not have to copy it to the online folder everytime. Now, even though your OB121 is not yet part of the CPU's program, the operating system can already point you in the direction of the cause of the problem: Ereignis 10 von 192: Ereignis-ID 16# 4562 STOP durch Programmierfehler (OB nicht geladen oder nicht möglich, bzw. kein FRB vorhanden ) FB-Nummer: 876 Bausteinadresse: 2750 Bisheriger Betriebszustand: RUN Angeforderter Betriebszustand: STOP (intern) interner Fehler, kommendes Ereignis 16:10:32.898 30.09.2010 Ereignis 11 von 192: Ereignis-ID 16# 2522 Bereichslängenfehler beim Lesen Instanz-DB , Bitzugriff, Zugriffsadresse: 0 Angeforderter OB: Programmierfehler-OB (OB 121) OB nicht vorhanden oder gesperrt oder nicht startbar im aktuellen Betriebszustand interner Fehler, kommendes Ereignis 16:10:32.895 30.09.2010 These two messages are linked. So check whether you actually have this FB876 in your program, using an address 2750 (look in the HWConfig editor, looks like a diaqgnostic address for a Profibus module, at first glance). You should have more precise information once OB121 is part of the CPU program. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
