CPU 412-2DP ALL LED BLINKING

Hi all,

                  i have CPU 412-2DP (6ES7 412-2XG04-0AB0) used in press operation. press operation auto mode suddenly cpu all LED blinking continuosly.and not able to going monitoring mode.what are the reason for this issue? how to identify which type of fault occur.pls guide me to solve this issue.

For better understanding i attached the photo and video file while fault occured conditon.pls go through and any one reply me, fault occur more than 3times per day.

now i off/on whole power and reset the fault in the last one week. pls support me.

Hi, 

When all LEDs start cycling it means the CPU went into an unresponsive state. The cause can be a many things from HW error to corrupted memory content or even EMC/power supply issues. 

Have a look at this thread:

Diag buffer only contain IO access errors so they are masking away the older messages.

Anyways if you check the CPU installation then maybe worth considering the CPU firmware upgrade as well. See this thread about these advices S7-400H Fault .

           Thanks for your reply.i tryed to update the firmware and In h/w configuration can't able to select  firmware update (PLC ---->update firmware) which was hide condition. Pl be provide the details to update firmware with out memory card use.

                                  Thanks for your reply.I take the Firmware file Version v4.1.1 in the old forum.i try to update,that time alarm pop up the file is loo large and need memory space.now i understand,4MB flash card must need this activity.last week i ordered the 4MB flash card,when it reached my hand i will to that firmware update.

                This issue related all the post and guidance very useful me and learn lot of thinks.

I have a same PLC and got the same problem. My PLC all LED's are Blinking and also i tried to communicate with my PLC, but it didn't communicate. kindly, tell me the solution.
