Hi,
Im faced with one strange problem using the CPU 416- 2XK02-0AB0
Well I have a PLC Rack which contain of CP IE EX11 and 5x 32DO cards - also I have a 2 ET200M on Master Profibus and there I have DI, DO, AI, AO cards.
Al of my Digital inputs from ET200M coming corectly but when I want to write Digital Outs - they are just written in HW/Monitoring and not on the DO cards (neither on CPU rack DO's nor on ET200M DO's).
I+ve checked the external Power supply and everything is OK but DOs wont to be written.
Fot test I use one S7300 3152DP and tried with ET200M rack attached to it - DOs from that case worked normally and green LED was ON in that case.
I've return again profibus cable to CPU 416 and DO's again wasn't work.
To test CPU I use one CPU 414-2 to test and again the DOs wont to be written on the CPU rack nor on ET200M rack.
Dont know why this happen - please let me know what should I do that I have system with CPU 400 working.

            Have you checked "Size of the process-image input/Output area" in CPU settings.

how are you writing the DOs? maybe they are written twice.

which adresses do you use?

How are the settings of the process image in the CPU?

Thank you for reply. the Program itself doesn't contain so much code...I just call one FB in OB35 and write to output. I've put OB35 as PIP1 and DO card of this Output is also in PIP1 - rest of DO cards is OB PIP. The output in Monitor mode of DO card does come as true in HW config, but no Output to Card.

But , I've been use Monitor/Modify from HW config and none of outputs wont to be written - in HW config/Monitor - they are green, on the card nothing. 

I think that PIP settings for the card should not be important for HW Monitor/modify...Most strange is that when I connect the Et200m to the S73152DP - Digital outputs are written normally.

Its really confusing situation.

have you tried to program ist in OB1?

Are the outputs, you are writing on the ET200M that is not connected?

I guess something. Maybe there is an inconsistency of PIP, or something.

Is the OB1 loaded?

If not loaded, load OB1.

also try it with a smaller OB1-process image.

First what I did try, is OB1 with default settings on DO Card OB1PIP and the one line code was written in OB1. There was no Output to the card. So OB1 and all OBs are called in SW normally.

Previously OB image partition was 512 for Outs and for Inputs but without active DOs on the Card.

The ET200M is allways attached on the Master DP, I just use it for test on the S73152DP and return it to CPU 416 - there is no BUSF indication and even I can see all cards in HW Config and they all are OK and available by Online Diagnostic.

I never seen something like this in my entire Simatic experience - really strange behavior. But not only one CPU416, Ive been use 2nd CPU414 and get the same issue.

I will bring my CPUs to my Colleague - he has also one CPU400 rack and will try there. As Issue maybe I can say that something is wrong with Rack itself, but why then DO isnt written on ET200M...really strange

Problem solved. I took another 400 system fully functional and test. Cpu from that rack was same issue, then I take my cpu to this rack and Dos was written.

Then I take Power supply from running rack and put on my...suddenly my outputs was running.

So PS made trouble. PS had no any sign of failure and cause such problem.

Good to know this can happen.
